The Department of Natural Resources Canada requires specialized technical services to support research and development activities related to permanent magnetic thin-film materials and Materials Acceleration Platforms (MAPs). These services are required to generate high-quality experimental data and technical information that enable the discovery, development, optimization, and validation of advanced magnetic materials.
The requirement supports NRCan's initiatives in materials acceleration, active learning, machine learning, and data-driven materials design by providing experimental capabilities necessary to fabricate, characterize, assess, and validate candidate magnetic thin-film materials. The resulting experimental datasets and technical analyses will be integrated into NRCan-led optimization and decision-support workflows to accelerate materials development and improve predictive modelling capabilities.
